Senior Project Engineering Manager (HVDC Systems) Location: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in Midlands £90,000 Salary Packages Projects: Renewable energy, infrastructure. Turner Lovell are recruiting for a fast growing international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of renewable energy, electricity and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe. Senior Project Engineering Manager who will be accountable for the delivery of the HVDC Systems scope of work on time, within budget, and according to technical requirements. This role involves managing engineering activities, resources, and budgets while collaborating closely with functional leaders and project teams to ensure the project's success. Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver the HVDC Systems scope, ensuring alignment with the project schedule and integration with other project functions (procurement, construction, commissioning). Regularly review project progress, including time, cost, quality, and risks. Prepare and present monthly project reports. Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to established processes. Plan and manage technical interfaces with partners, customers, and contractors. Track and report on project KPIs such as on-time delivery and budget adherence. Lead and support the engineering team, ensuring solutions meet technical specifications and quality standards. Conduct risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date risk register. Participate in customer technical meetings when needed. Oversee design effectiveness and cost optimization during the project phases. Ensure safety standards (EHS) are met and manage hazard identification (HAZID) sessions. Support procurement and subcontracting processes and assist during site preparation, construction, and commissioning.Desired Experience: Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager in the T&D, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas industry. Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with complex interfaces across global projects. Strong technical problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Willingness to travel internationally and work in various locations.
