An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Practitioner within the Community Adult Eating Disorder Service (CAEDS). We are keen to meet applicants with experience or an interest in supporting service users with eating disorders.
The role will involve working in the community providing specialist assessment, evidence-based treatment, and managing complex psychological and physical health risks through psychoeducation, monitoring, and robust care and risk management planning.
The post holder will be expected to provide care coordination and treatment for service users with a primary diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa or severe medically complicated Bulimia Nervosa.
The post holder will also be expected to contribute regularly to the duty system managing queries and referrals to the team.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The role involves carrying out complex assessments and risk management plans for service users with a diagnosis, or possible diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa or severe medically complicated Bulimia Nervosa.
The role includes carrying out appointments in various venues across the areas CAEDS covers, including the service user's home.
The person in this post will be on the duty system rota and will be expected to triage and manage referrals/queries to the service.
Person specification
Education and Qualification
* Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist
* 12 to 24 months band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.
Organisational Skills
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
Experience
* Demonstrate an understanding of effective & appropriate treatment options including a range of Evidence-Based clinical approaches as identified
