We are currently seeking to fill the position of Gardener.

This is a permanent full-time or part-time role. Full-time hours are 35.6 hours per week Monday to Thursday (8 am to 4 pm, with a 30 min lunch break and 2 x 15 min break) and Friday (8 am to 3 pm with a 30 min lunch break and 1 x 15 min break) with 4 hours on every 3rd Saturday morning. All breaks are unpaid.
Annual Salary: £28,600 (prorated for part-time)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, proactive and motivated individual with outstanding gardening skills to join the Fettes College Grounds Team as a Gardener.
Reporting to the Head of Grounds, the primary role of the Gardener is to maintain, manage and improve all House gardens and amenity areas to a high standard.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Skills
* A full UK driving licence.
* Relevant horticultural qualification(s) and experience to carry out duties competently.
* Pesticide Application Pa1, Pa2 useful to have.
* A good knowledge of hand tools and their usage.
* Competence with machinery/equipment use and maintenance; including tractors.
* Awareness of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* An understanding of good manual handling techniques.
Personal Qualities
* Personable and approachable with a helpful attitude.
* A good standard of health and fitness.
* Able to work on your own and in a team environment.
