Overview Our Westhill-based client is seeking a Project Planning Engineer to facilitate the development and control of project planning and scheduling for appointed project work within our projects department. You will ensure adherence to agreed standards and lead the governance of all compliance requirements within their function. The role is largely site-based with the expectation to go offshore. Responsibilities Facilitate the creation of project plans and assess project status throughout the life cycle Develop, maintain, and monitor cost breakdown structure (CBS) and analyze cost performance Review cost and schedule performance, communicate findings, and evaluate project status against schedule baselines and cost baselines Integrate project risks into the project schedule and perform routine risk analysis Ensure all project documentation is tied into the master register and stored within the relevant teams room for the project Conduct offshore and site visits to aid in the estimating process and during the execution phase of projects Qualifications Knowledge of maintenance management Good organisational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Office, Project, PowerPoint, etc. Strong experience with Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management systems Experience using integrated Work Management Systems Understanding of Association of Project Management (APM) methodologies and accredited Project Fundamentals Qualification (APM) certified Competent with managing volumes of data creating slim-line reporting via pivot tables Day-to-day The Project Planning Engineer will work closely with the Projects Controls Lead & the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality and Energy Management Policy and taking an active role in compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
