Job Description Location Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 8JR Salary between £23,500 - £25,500 depending on experience Renishaw’s Spectroscopy Products Division requires an Assembly operator to help assembly, test and inspect products to a specified standard, in order to achieve a reliable supply to agreed delivery schedules. Some packing duties may be required for a number of products. Responsibilities To assemble, test and inspect products to a defined standard Follow all relevant instructions, both written and verbal, and highlight any deficiencies observed in the process Use skills and techniques acquired during training, to work in an efficient and quality conscious manner so that product quality and production targets are met Inform supervision of any problems that exist which may affect the quality of the product Work sensibly and safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting any concerns immediately Key requirements Good eyesight, with spectacles/contact lenses if worn Good hand/eye co‑ordination and dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of component parts The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as being able to work within a team The flexibility to adapt and continually improve The ability and confidence to operate with machinery, test equipment and computer systems should the need arise The ability to read and correctly interpret build instructions Although not essential, it is highly desirable if applicants have some experience with typical assembly techniques found in a production environment It would be desirable if applicants have some previous experience in assembly techniques. Person specification The successful applicant will have an identifiable ‘can do’ attitude in regards to their work ethic. They will have a good record of good time keeping and attendance.
