Mental Health Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Mental-Health Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEMH School based in New Milton, Hampshire supporting pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs.
This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop vulnerable young peoples lives. Helping to improve mental-wellbeing and reducing barriers to learning and social development.
You will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic provision where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students.
The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
Previous experience is desirable however we’d like to hear from those from all backgrounds: graduate, sports coaches, ex-forces, care industry and more!

6. Full time/part time: Full-Time
7. Minimum rate of pay: ££ per day
Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Teaching Assistant role:
8. Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
9. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
10. A passion for working with children with SEMH.
11. Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
12. You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
13. Level 3 Qualifications
To be eligible you must:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide two professional child related references
