Protocol Education are recruiting for people who are looking to build their experience of working with children in schools.
We are looking for passionate individuals who want to build a career in working with children. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and with children of different ages and abilities. You do not need any qualifications or experience but must have the drive and passion to make a difference in the lives of children. You will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the children, and in some cases, on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the children can vary, and some may have complex learning difficulties.
The role of a teaching assistant can be challenging, so patience, a friendly approach, and a good sense of humour are required.
The Role:
1. To work alongside the class teacher in supporting children with their learning.
2. To manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
3. De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to.
4. Carrying out small group work and working with children with additional needs.
5. Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
