We're looking for a Database Administrator with a strong background in Oracle SQL and PLSQL to work closely with the development team to help optimize and modernize a bespoke platform with an Oracle database at its core. - Help to performance tune and optimize systems - Configure Monitoring & Reporting of critical Database systems. - Provides Technical support to Development and non-technical staff. - Must be available for On-Call schedule & support. - Manage Database environments for availability & security. - Establish and manage patching process for the Database servers & instances. - Database cluster/instance installation and configuration. - Monitor Database environments for performance metrics. - Implement Database Backup, Replication, Encryption, Availability, Disaster Recovery & Security procedures. - Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. - Additional duties may be assigned. - University degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Backups & Recovery Performance management & tuning - Excellent organizational, written and communication skills. - Experience utilizing database tools (TOAD, sql dev) and SQL Scripting. - Knowledge of Linux - knowledge of Azure and Cloud Computing - Mission: For UL, corporate and social responsibility isn't new.
