Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Learning Environment Lead for Allied Health Professional within the Clinical Education Team.
This role is the primary link between the Trust, HEE and AEIs, to facilitate the clinical education of pre-registration allied healthcare professional learners.
The post holder facilitates and manages the provision of high quality clinical placements within the Trust by positively influencing and improving the quality of the learning environment through support, supervision, educational and professional development opportunities for practice assessors, practice supervisors, students, apprentices, qualified health care professionals and support workers.
Main duties of the job
1. To manage and review current pre registration provision for allied healthcare professionals throughout the trust; developing and providing a revised educational programme for pre registration staff ensuring that HCPC requirements are met.
2. In collaboration with other Learning Environment Leads, steer the implementation of Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors; ensuring appropriate education and preparation to undertake the role.
3. The post holder will champion preceptorship for newly qualified clinicians in promoting high quality patient care and recruitment and retention of staff and initiate the development of protocols and guidelines for pre-registration allied healthcare professionals practice.
4. The post holder will facilitate student placements, with the responsibility for allocation for all AHP learners to maintain a good learning environment.

* Current professional body registrant
* Minimum 2 years experience at Band 6, including managing staff.
* ENB 997/998, mentor preparation, PA or equivalent
* BSc (Hons) Degree or working towards
