The Transport Planner will play a vital role in arranging efficient and cost-effective transport for goods. They will be responsible for planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries. The role is fully on site in their office near Sutton in Ashfield.
Description
The Transport Planner will be responsible for the following:
Plan and manage multi-drop delivery routes.
Coordinate with drivers and warehouse team for efficient load scheduling.
Monitor transport costs and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with transport policies and legislation.
Develop transport studies and propose improvements.
Manage transport-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to team's objectives.
Report on transport activities and performance.Profile
A successful Transport Planner should have:
Experience in transport planning within a busy transport operation
Proficiency in transport management systems and databases.
Excellent geographical knowledge.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and team-working skills.
