Job Description:
The Product Onboarding Team provides a dedicated end-to-end onboarding and change management service within LGIM’s Client Service Operations team, supporting the full range of product structures and investment services offered by the company. The team is responsible for co-ordinating all takeon/change related Operational tasks and activities spanning the breadth of the business to ensure the timely and comprehensive onboarding of fund/client objectives. Due to the continued growth of the business, a widening of the team’s remit, there is a need to resource the team to effectively support the business’s servicing requirement.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing a support service for new and existing client mandates across the range of product vehicles (pooled and segregated) within LGIM.
* Leading the project from the strategy and development through to full onboarding, observing core project disciplines and co-ordinating the end-to-end onboarding of new fund mandates across the business e.g. obtaining business approval of fund operating documentation; account set-up; identifying and seeking solutions to non-standard requirements etc. and preparing the legal and operational groundwork for implementing changes to existing fund mandates.
* Project and time managing client/product work in conjunction with other business areas to achieve the funding objectives in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring that all legal, operational and transitional tasks are comprehensively considered and completed.
* Providing final quality checks on legal documentation in line with fund requirements.
* Being instrumental in the reviewing and negotiating client service level standards and reporting requirements.
* Developing a clear understanding of the function of all business areas within LGIM, building and maintaining an effective network of strong working relationships within those areas.
* Acting as an internal ‘onboarding consultant’ to Distribution and Product team, demonstrating technical ability and understanding and an awareness of the client’s decision-making process and investment objectives.
* Attending or facilitating (as appropriate) internal/external conference calls and meetings, acting as a business advisor on the requirements for onboarding new product/client mandates and change events, providing progress updates to key stakeholders in the spirit of transparency and collaboration.
* Communicating effectively internally and externally on the progress of onboarding work, holding (where required) regular working group meeting sessions with key stakeholders in order to monitor and manage progress relevant to client change activity. As necessary, attend meetings and conference calls to discuss and report upon onboarding plans and progress.
Who we're looking for:
* Strong academic background Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent.
* Qualifications Desirable IMC Advanced Excel.
* Strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options and knowledge of current investment, market and economic issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Thorough understanding and appreciation of FSA regulations and internal governance framework.
* Excellent facilitation and meeting skills, being able to discuss complex/technical concepts.
* A track record of Project Management success, with the disciplines and experience of Onboarding funds/products & clients and change events within an asset management environment.
* Strong product strategy and derivatives knowledge (including the trading and collateral/margin mechanics of OTC and ETD derivatives).
