Job Role: Teaching a small class of 8 children with Autism, using creative and engaging methods to support their learning and development. Planning, assessing, and delivering lessons in line with each child's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that is responsive to the individual needs of each student. Using a creative curriculum, including Music, Drama, and Arts, to enhance the learning experience and engagement of students with Autism. Developing strategies to support the wellbeing and personal growth of children with ASD, while promoting social interaction and independence. Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of lessons and student progress. Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure clear communication and support for students' individual needs. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher with QTS and experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly Autism. Knowledge of ASD and complex needs, with the ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. A reflective and engaging classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate pupils. Ability to manage behaviour positively and maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals.
