Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to support Lenovo Global Accounts and Top Enterprise Accounts across EMEA.
In this role, you will be involved in promoting Lenovo infrastructure products and solutions, collaborating with CTOs, IT specialists, Lenovo presales and sales teams, as well as Lenovo partners, to drive opportunities through the sales cycle. Your work will involve understanding customer business and technical requirements, developing solution architectures, and guiding opportunities to successful and profitable outcomes.
As a collaborative team member, you will step in to support presales business opportunities identified by the Global Account Sales team, offering the technical expertise needed to define optimal solutions for customers. Your knowledge and experience will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and identify IT Data Center projects by acting as a trusted advisor to the assigned customer set.
2. Take a leading role in the technical education of customers and sales teams, keeping customers and partners informed about new technologies and innovations.
3. Identify customer projects and interpret their technical requirements.
4. Build technical solutions in collaboration with the wider specialist product and technical community, sales teams, and business partners to support successful business outcomes.
5. Lead and/or provide technical input for Tenders/RFIs/RFPs.
6. Gather and analyze information to develop a clear understanding of customer technology infrastructures.
Position Requirements:
7. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
8. Minimum of 3 years of presales or customer-facing technical sales experience, preferably in the infrastructure sector.
9. Strong understanding of trends and technologies in infrastructure solutions, including entry to mid-level Storage, Converged, HyperConverged (SDI) systems, and system virtualization principles.
10. Ability to create and present technical solutions to clients, clearly articulating the technical value proposition.
11. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
