The Vacancy
Are you a skilled Gas Installation Engineer looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team, carrying out boiler and central heating system installations in both occupied and void properties. This role also includes servicing landlord-owned gas appliances and undertaking associated building works such as boxing in, basic plastering, and minor repairs.
As part of our gas team, you'll not only install and service heating systems but also assist with general maintenance and repairs when required. You'll work closely with clients and customers, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining excellent communication throughout every job. Managing your own workload efficiently, you'll be expected to follow health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements, always prioritising safety and compliance.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be Gas Safe qualified with up-to-date ACS accreditations (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1) and a relevant City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in gas installation. A full UK driving licence is essential, as you'll be responsible for maintaining your company vehicle and ensuring it is stocked appropriately. Strong customer service skills, good technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to thriving in this position. Experience working in social housing would be an advantage but is not essential.
