Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, forward-thinking Podiatrist with a minimum of 2 years NHS experience, who is keen to develop their clinical skills within a friendly, supportive and innovative environment.
The post-holder will be required to provide a range of high-quality podiatric interventions in a variety of community clinics, GP practices, and also in nursing homes & domiciliary settings throughout the Wirral peninsula, Merseyside & Cheshire.
As a Specialist Podiatrist you will also be actively involved in providing specialist diabetes care & orthopaedic podiatry services to patients in Wirral University Teaching Hospital. This will involve working as part of a consultant-led multi-disciplinary team as well as podiatrist-led clinics and ward sessions. This work can at times be unpredictable and an ability to work flexibly and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Support and training will be provided with assistance given to the successful candidate in order to complete the College of Podiatry Foot in Diabetes module.
The position requires applicants to be able to work flexibly across a wide geographical area, therefore you must have access to your own transport for work purposes. This post provides an excellent opportunity for pro-active clinicians to demonstrate their existing skills within a challenging environment.
