The role will involve supporting the Critical Care Unit. There will be an opportunity to work within the MDT in Critical Care therefore experience in this area is essential. Previous experience in working in a Critical Care setting is required for this role.
Duties would include organising and setting up procedure trolleys, working alongside ICU nurses and assisting them in patient care. Support with the general up keep of the unit as well as taking some responsibility in organising and maintaining stock levels in the store room. Responsible for patients requiring escort to other departments. Relaying information to the multidisciplinary team and liaising with other health care professionals.
Duties would include patient care, manual handling, assisting with invasive procedures, monitoring of stock levels, pathology orders and sample collection and liaising with the wider MDT for the benefit of patients.
