The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diverse learning needs and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a cohesive support system for students. Provide direct support and intervention to students in both individual and small group settings. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet changing needs. Deliver training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting SEN students. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence. Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions. Qualifications and Experience: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential. Specialism or additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (e.g., SENCo accreditation) is highly desirable. Proven experience working with children with a range of SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
