We are looking for a UX Designer with bags of talent, experience and dedication to join our web and digital team. The successful candidate will genuinely care about getting the user experience right: from developing original and creative ideas, to delivering delightful designs, with a careful eye for detail and usability. What will the role involve? In this role, you will use your creative skills to deliver a wide range of creative work. We will challenge you to become an all-round problem solver: helping to design responsive websites and apps for our group of companies: this will involve improving the UX of our intranet, customer facing corporate sites as well as eCommerce engine, focusing on usability and conversions. You’ll be responsible for supporting the research and design stage of projects and delivering solid, considered design work that exceeds our users’ expectations. Good communication skills will be essential: whether it’s championing the importance of good design; sharing your knowledge with those around you; or liaising with our developers. You will have the support of our award winning UX designers, and will work closely with them on a wide range of projects and challenges. Where are we based? This role can be based in our Elstree, Hertfordshire office or in our Farringdon, London office. Typical tasks and responsibilities: User Experience Design Develop an understanding of tangible user needs and mental models, using various research methods, including, but not limited to: focus groups, eye tracking sessions, field research, surveys, interviews, expert analysis, card sorting, remote testing. Create personas to reflect archetypal segments of audiences. Define and map information architectures, user journeys, logic flows and user stories Produce interactive and responsive prototypes and wireframes for websites, apps and software, and run usability testing sessions to see where your designs can be optimised and improved. Be able to utilise your problem solving mindset and apply it to any user experience brief and challenge we are faced with Visual Design (sometimes) Understanding of industry standard design applications (such as Adobe CC Suite, Sketch, etc). Transform prototypes and wireframes into beautiful user interface designs following brand guidelines, style tiles etc. Take creative art directions and apply them across interface templates, to create pattern libraries and design storyboards. Deliver marketing and brand materials for both our clients and our own internal purposes. Project Management Attend client meetings, from pitch stage all the way through to final handover in order to meet client requirements throughout the project. Take ownership of deliverables on client and internal projects to push them forward, providing excellent end results, with great client satisfaction and within budget.
