Role Overview
The Legal Claims Advisor will play a crucial role within the Legal Claims Advisory team, serving as one of the first points of contact for potential clients. You’ll use your legal knowledge and exceptional customer service skills to gather all relevant details of potential claims, ensuring that each prospective client receives clear, empathetic guidance and a professional experience. This position is central to securing new clients for the firm, setting the foundation for a successful claim. This role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, including one late shift (10 am – 7 pm) once training is complete, as well as one Saturday shift. The role offers flexibility for hybrid or remote work.
Legal Claims Advisor Responsibilities
1. Build rapport with potential clients over the phone and in person, obtaining all essential details to assess the viability of their claim.
2. Document key information regarding potential claims with accuracy and attention to detail, typing efficiently into an electronic enquiry document.
3. Prepare necessary legal documentation for new claims and communicate effectively if a case cannot be progressed.
4. Clearly explain the nature of conditional fee agreements to clients, ensuring full understanding and transparency.
Legal Claims Advisor Requirements:
1. Exceptional customer service skills, with a talent for building rapport both over the phone and in person.
2. A legal background, ideally with experience in personal injury or clinical negligence.
3. Strong typing and IT skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
5. A collaborative and flexible team-player approach, capable of effective time and diary management.
6. An analytical and investigative mindset, with the ability to work both effectively and efficiently.
