As a Service Manager, you will oversee all workshop activities, manage other engineers, and be responsible for maintaining all housekeeping and Health & Safety responsibilities. Responsibilities include adherence to all internal Quality Management Systems.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a safe place of work.
* Responsible for the fault-finding, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of a range of powered access and material handling equipment within the depot.
* You will possess excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills and the ability to communicate with other members of the engineering team.
* Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
* You will be required to complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
* Promote teamwork between colleagues across all depots to ensure delivery of effective workshop performance.
* Liaise with the Depot and Engineering Management when spare parts are required to ensure cost-effective repairs.
* Handle breakdown calls and assign mobile engineers to attend sites.
* Ensure service records are maintained and updated in line with company procedures.
* Ensure that the machines are kept in a serviceable and presentable condition.
* Adhere to company policies and guidelines relating to Health & Safety at Work.
* Adhere to the damage recharge process, ensuring that all damage is highlighted and recharged.
* Maintain and ensure maximum productivity in line with company targets.
* Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers, and other people you meet in the course of your work.
* Attend customer sites to conduct breakdowns when required.
* Provide the Engineering Manager with KPI statistics when required.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have relevant qualifications and proven experience gained within the Construction Industry.
* Be experienced in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostic fault finding.
* Be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
* Have good interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
