This apprenticeship role is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to pursue a career as an Apprentice Fire Safety Engineer with a busy fire and security company based in Rustington, West Sussex. You will be trained and fully supported by our current team in all aspects of your job role whilst studying for a Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Working and learning alongside a qualified Engineer.
* Servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance.
* Reactive troubleshooting.
* Installing Security and Fire alarm systems, CCTV, and Access Control.
* Training on the relevant industry standards, codes of practice, and manufacturers regulations.
* Assisting with the installation and servicing of fire and security systems.
* Ensuring that all work is serviced and installed to the required standards, specifications, schedules, and that all documentation is completed.
* Always providing a friendly and efficient service to all customers.

Working Week: 40-hour week – Monday-Friday from 08:30 am – 4:30 pm with half an hour unpaid for lunch daily. 31 holiday days per year. The week will be 4 days on the job and one day attendance at Chichester College.

Qualifications: GCSE Minimum Grade 4 in Math and English will be required to be eligible to apply for this apprenticeship.

* This role will be based at the office location in Rustington with attendance at Chichester College - based on 4 days on site and one day at College.
* The apprenticeship will last 3 years plus 3 months for the end point assessment so please only apply if you will be committed to complete the course.
* You MUST BE free from full-time education to be eligible to apply for an apprenticeship.
* You MUST BE have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorization for the UK.
* You MUST BE resident in the area local to the apprenticeship opportunity or be prepared to relocate in time to start employment and study and have the ability to get to work.
* There is a prospect for a full-time permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour (As of the 1st April 2024). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16 to 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
