What’s the Opportunity?
We are looking for an Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and professional support to the Committees of the Council, Council Members, and various functions within Democratic Services. This role involves a wide range of duties, including meeting coordination, processing decision-making records, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and supporting the effective operation of Council processes.
What you’ll be doing as an Administrator, but not limited to;
* Attending Council Committee meetings and provide administrative support, including the audio recording and streaming of meetings
* Producing and publishing agendas, minutes, and other decision-making documents on the relevant committee software (e.g., Corporate website, Member intranet)
* Providing advice and administrative support to assist Council Members in decision-making processes
* Managing the processing of FOI requests and maintain the FOI database
* Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations relating to FOI requests
* Assisting the Principal Democratic Services Officer in coordinating responses to corporate complaints and those dealt with by the Local Government Ombudsman
