Job: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
Hourly salary: £12.00
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent, Mondays to Fridays 8am to 4pm, term time only
Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good preschool in Wendover seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their warm and welcoming team as soon as possible, assisting them in giving their children the best start in life.
The preschool has an excellent reputation in the local area with many 5-star parent reviews, and the preschool is oversubscribed. The staff say it's a very supportive and fun place to work.
You will work term time only (38 weeks a year). The preschool offers 4 weeks holiday pay plus 8 paid bank holidays. There is free parking in the local area, and the preschool is close to a train station.
Responsibilities include:
1. Your primary focus will be creating a safe and inspiring learning environment for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
2. As a keyworker, you will ensure every individual child's needs are met.
3. Collaborating with your team to plan, organise and implement engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
4. Encouraging and praising children's development and achievements.
5. Effectively communicate with children and parents/carers.
6. Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
2. Experience working as an Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator or Childcare Professional.
3. Experience working with children from 18 months to 5 years.
4. Team player.
5. IT literate.
6. Punctual, reliable and able to use own initiative.
