We are looking for a Statutory Reporting Manager for a 12-month part-time contract based in Derby, UK on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Purpose of the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of high-quality statutory financial statements for a FTSE100 group and its UK subsidiaries. You will ensure compliance with UK listing rules and relevant accounting standards, contribute to key external reporting deliverables, and act as a technical expert on statutory reporting requirements. Working closely with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and internal teams, you will drive process improvements, support audit readiness, and help maintain the integrity and transparency of financial reporting across the group.
As a Statutory Reporting Manager you will be responsible for:
Prepare and review Group and UK subsidiary financial statements in line with UK reporting standards.
Support the interim and annual reporting process, including notes for the Annual Report.
Ensure compliance with new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Act as a key contact for external auditors and support audit queries.
Manage financial reporting for pension schemes, including IAS 19 disclosures.
Drive process improvements and contribute to team training and development.
What we require from the candidate:
Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant finance experience.
Strong technical knowledge of statutory reporting and accounting standards.
Experience working with external auditors and handling audit-related queries.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Pensions reporting experience (preferable), including familiarity with IAS 19 disclosures.Next steps
