Role Overview:
As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and developing structures that serve the community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying and preparing for planning and building regulations approval.
- Crafting specifications for tender, analysing tenders, and issuing reports.
- Contract Administrator experience is highly desirable
- Supporting senior staff in roles under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
- Project management, including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.
- Assisting in contract administration under various JCT Contracts.
- Conducting detailed inspections to diagnose defects and recommend remedial work.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a consultant building surveyor.
- Comprehensive knowledge of materials and construction types.
- Expertise in preparing specifications and writing schedules of works.
- Detailed understanding of planning and building regulations approval processes.
- Significant site inspection experience.
- Confidence in attending and chairing progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to independently produce detailed reports.
- Some experience with party wall services is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- MRICS qualified or close to completion
