Description Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity. As an Oracle Database Administrator Guru, work with leading edge technology - providing leadership and expertise for researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance. Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Proven successful experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM's or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired. Today's projects include delivering the infrastructure and solutions to move oracle's internal systems to Oracle's Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS; performing a global implementation of Oracle's cutting-edge Cloud applications; design, development and implementation of custom applications and extensions; architecting integration solutions across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and on-premise systems; implementation of Oracle BI and Datawarehouse solutions Within OAL, the ATG team manage and implement the technical infrastructure for OAL projects. We are expanding the team and are looking for people with strong technical skills, drive, innovation and enthusiasm. The role requires, Advance database knowledge (Performance Tuning, Backup, Restore, Recovery, Disaster Recovery, RAC, Grid, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump), Good experience with Golden Gate, Solid understanding and experience on Exadata, experience with cloud computing (preferably OCI ATP, OCI Exadata, OCI VM DBaaS, LB, OSS), Capacity Planning, Complex performance review and tuning (OS, Database) ,Experience with Linux operational support. Additional skills with networking and services running on cloud platforms will be beneficial. The role’s focus will combine operational support, performance handling and automated solutions for infrastructure and services by leveraging their DEVOPS / DBA skills. Other duties include researching, proofing OCI cloud services, their features for improving operations and authoring technical documentation that are beneficial to the team. We require people with strong abilities in the following areas: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical database issues. Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and the dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Handle Complex Performance issues (database), Complex Outages and Instability In cloud, Trouble shoot Grid / ASM failures Role is not limited to database and infrastructure, understating of the application interaction with Database and product, and troubleshoot application issues Backup, Restore and recover databases Deploy and Support Golden Gate installations Deploy and Support Disaster Recovery Work on Deep SQL Optimization, database parameter optimization Identify problems and/or opportunities for OAL's cloud infrastructure support. Aptitude to be a good team player and the desire to learn and implement new Cloud technologies. As a member of the IT organization, lead the design, development, modification, debugging, and evaluation programs for extremely complex internal systems. Provide expertise to analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new internal systems. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards. Provide leadership and expertise in extremely complex internal systems, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommend and justify major changes to existing internal systems. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of related experience recommended.
