Reporting to the Managing Director, with a seat on the board, your critical responsibility will be to revolutionise the sales modus operandum, including international business development. Winning new customers with the highest levels of expertise and deepening existing partnerships is the priority. You will love the idea of pioneering unchartered territories globally, where business readily exists yet untapped. With a nationwide team under your direction, you’ll bring rigour and discipline, a passion for the drivers that make the numbers jump off the P&L as well as structure and high standards of performance. Above all, you desire to make a significant impact on the organisation’s commercial objective for high-value growth, whilst building sustainable long-term partnerships with big name multi-sector corporate customers.
You’ll love making decisions independently, often with high-octane commercial wit and creativity. Ambiguity will be naturally comfortable for you. Your personal style needs to be ‘wow’, engaging and inspiring at all levels. To qualify, you’ll need to demonstrate an undisputed track record in big business wins, most preferably within the industrial and B2B or B2B2C sectors, including Distributor management.
