This person will have…
* Proven track record working as an effective Category manager with Grocery or AFH customers
* Previous experience working with Nielsen and Kantar data
* Can use data to tell a clear, compelling category story with call to actions based on the insight
* Ability to partner well cross functionally, with the likes of insights, commercial, shopper and RGM.
* Ability to build and sustain influential customer relationships
* Ability to show thought leadership in developing category growth strategies
Role scope:
We need this person to…
* Bring our category vision to life with our biggest strategic customers across GB
* Remain linked in as part of the GB category team community, sharing and contributing learnings best practice etc.
* Be involved in company annual business planning and long range planning cycles
* Advise retailers through key decision making periods, effectively influencing range, space and distribution decisions.
* Identify gaps and opportunities for growth and developing compelling sell-in stories
* Support the development of consumer/ shipper and category centric NPD
* Be the voice of the shopper both internally and externally
* Demonstrate they can work under pressure whilst being highly organised and efficient
* Manage short term deliverables in parallel to developing long term strategic plans
* Be curious, eager to learn, have a “can do” and forward thinking attitude
Key deliverables:
* Review SOVI/ SOCVI pre and post range reviews and future growth opportunities
* Land aisle of the future principles and how they will drive growth for the category
* Create videos across AFH & grocery to demonstrate merchandising LOS
* Build shelf range review recommendations
* Alcohol category experience would be preferable
