Working with a global leader in engineering, project and programme management within the nuclear industry, NRL are looking to recruit a MEH Field Engineer. The role is a permanent position, site based at Hinkley Point C.
About the role:
As the Field Engineer, you'll ensure construction aligns with contract requirements and report non-conformance issues. You'll assist in issuing non-conformance reports, maintain proactive communication with site teams, and ensure timely surveillance reporting. You'll contribute to KPI indicators, identify and mitigate potential quality issues, and support temporary measures to maintain safety and quality standards. Design decisions will follow a formal approval process. You'll provide insights on site activities, develop tasks in line with health, safety, and environmental standards, and understand construction drawings and quality control plans. You'll monitor and agree on quality inspection records before covering works and review contractor performance against the quality control plan.
What you will need:
* Broad knowledge and wide understanding of the building industry, materials, trades methods and legal requirements
* Excellent organisation, delegation and communication skills. Ability to work within a high performing team that continuously outperforms expectations and objectives
* Proven experience of writing diaries which are accurate, concise and with relevance to the form of contract
* A minimum of HND in a Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience
