A really rewarding position has become available for a Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Oxford. This is an excellent position to gain valuable experience while also making a huge difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
They place a huge focus on supporting students diagnosed with Autism and ensure they receive the necessary interventions to support their development and education.
As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will be directly involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions, and adopt healthy coping strategies.
Your day-to-day duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher while providing 1:1 support for the SEN students. You will also help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and engaging place. Behavioral management may also be required.
This will be a transformative experience, enriching your life while positively impacting the lives of children who struggle to cope in the classroom.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential.
2. Those with a background in sports, art, or drama will have an advantage.
3. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
