Working in partnership with the operational business, providing coaching and guidance on a range of people management activities you will drive their people plans and strategic aims and objectives. Reporting to the Lead People Business Partner, you'll support our business areas, nationally. This role is based in our Birmingham office, Aston, however it has responsibility for supporting the group on-site and remotely, therefore will require some travel.

The HR Business Partner role
Collaborating with the People Team, to support the integration and implementation of the People plan, ensuring a proactive approach to driving and embedding the solution
Actively coach and develop our managers’ HR and cultural competency and knowledge in relation to employee relations activities, empowering and building confidence in the practicalities of our people-focussed policies and processes
Ensure timely and effective management of people issues including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance management, absence management and wellbeing
Support management through change activity, including TUPE
Design, implement and embed the EDI strategy, to strengthen and develop the businesses commitment to EDI
Partner with Learning and Development to design and deliver training and coaching for our HR community and business leaders
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure resourcing requirements are met, aligned with the business needs to deliver
Support management in ensuring we treat everyone fairly and with respect, with open and honest communication channels, turning our culture vision into tangible actions
Analysing insight and translating data into effective and commercially focused evidence-based people solutions to influence strategic and leadership action
Undertake projects as and when required, focused on people-based solutions
What will you bring as an HR Business Partner?
You would describe yourself as pragmatic, a strong listener, reasonable with the ability to engage and secure buy in and understanding from Operations
Your experience has been working within an HR function, where you can demonstrate a sound knowledge and level of expertise of employee relations and people-based issues, having a strategic impact on HR within the business, to deliver commercially sound solutions, through influence, collaboration and creating open communication channels.
As a business going through growth and change, you bring experience of working in a fast-paced environment, balancing a varied and high-volume workload
You not only describe yourself as a “people” person, but you also can analyse data and translate into actionable insights
A team player – you enjoy building positive and open relationships with the ability to work in a team environment and with many stakeholders
Proficient in various IT systems including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Suitable candidates with a degree/ equivalent qualifications and more or less experience can apply
