Our Sales & Marketing Specialist will be hands on across all sales and marketing activity in the region and will support the residence teams and area management. They will be a sales and marketing expert – leading, supporting and shaping the approach towards sales and propositions. This person will provide coaching and mentoring to the sales leaders within the cities, working closely with the central marketing team and the Area/City and Residence Managers to ensure consistency of best practice across all areas. Crucially you are passionate about and energized by new projects and creating growth and contributing to the success of the business. ___ Key Responsibilities Develop, and deliver a sales plan to achieve 100% occupancy of direct let beds. Liaise with Customer and Property Management team to agree on content, timing and logistics of dedicated sales campaigns. Set phased sales targets, based on marketing activity, prior year performance and sales plans. Lead training sessions, promoting the understanding of best practice and knowledge of specific campaigns, working with property teams to convert sales leads and improving conversion rates on an on-going basis. Develop and lead a consistent sales and marketing process, including the development of all sales aids, training and processes, culminating in the delivery of a class leading sales and marketing experience for all potential customers. Develop and lead re-booking campaigns, monitoring available re-bookers and converted sales by property. Build energy and momentum with property teams to ensure focus and motivation is maintained throughout key selling period. Working closely with systems developers, manage the continuous improvement of customer sales journey online and via the backend. Investigate how improvements in technology can support online and offline sales/marketing and make recommendations for changes where appropriate. Develop an annual offline marketing plan focused on delivering 100% direct let sales occupancy. With a specific focus on China and other feeder markets, deliver sales plan via existing contacts and monitor sales progress. Expand relationships with international contacts: agents, partners or student facing businesses. Develop and lead a process to drive direct let sales through agents and marketplaces. What else? Worked within a structured sales process. Proven Track record in managing the delivery of Objectives and Targets within a team. Intermediate skills in the use of business operating systems including Microsoft Office. Desirable: Experience of working in an operational / accommodation / hospitality business. Experience of establishing and developing relationships with external stakeholders.
