BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a results-driven Order Fulfilment Manager to join our team.
Role Summary
This role is integral in overseeing the order management process, managing order backlogs, driving process improvements, and leading projects to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of orders, perform business analysis, and implement solutions that optimize the entire order-to-cash process. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating and presenting KPI reports to measure performance and drive improvements.
As the Order Fulfilment Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
1. Oversee and manage the complete Order-to-Cash process, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, from order receipt to final delivery and payment.
2. Manage and resolve order backlogs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, preventing recurrence.
3. Conduct business and analytical reporting to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement across the order management process.
4. Lead and manage projects aimed at process optimization, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
5. Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service to address issues and ensure smooth and efficient order processing.
6. Develop, maintain, and present regular KPI reports on order performance, backlog status, and project progress. Key metrics include Order Cycle Time, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Backlog Clearance Rates, and overall Order-to-Cash performance.
7. Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order management, backlog management, and process improvements.
8. Provide training and ongoing support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and established processes.
9. Monitor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices related to order management and logistics.
10. Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements to drive productivity and efficiency in the order-to-cash function.
11. Work closely with senior leadership to align team goals with broader business objectives, ensuring that the order management process supports overall company success.
Your key skills and experience will include:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
2. Project Management Certification: PMP or equivalent is a plus.
3. Lean/Six Sigma Certification: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
4. Strong attention to detail with a process-driven approach.
5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
6. Proficient in data analysis, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable improvements.
7. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage new challenges.
8. Proactive, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.
9. Demonstrable experience in order management, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
10. Order Management: Proven experience in managing backlogs, optimizing order processing, and improving operational efficiencies across the order-to-cash cycle.
11. KPI Reporting: Strong ability to track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics such as Order Cycle Time, OTIF, and Backlog Clearance Rates.
12. Software Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workplace, MS Excel, order management systems (OMS), ERP systems (e.g. SAP), Analytical tools (e.g. SAP Cloud Analytics, Celonis).
13. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
14. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to resolving issues.
15. Team Support: Ability to provide guidance and training to team members on processes, best practices, and operational improvements.
16. Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze processes and propose long-term solutions aligned with business goals.
