Job Title: Senior Practitioner
Location: Remote/Hybrid (Shropshire, with travel as required)
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (as per WM MOC)
About the Role:
Shropshire Council is seeking a highly experienced Senior Practitioner to support the setup and discharge of care orders for children currently placed with their parents at home.
This is a non-case-holding position that focuses on collaborating with case-allocated social workers and partner agencies. The role involves managing and prioritising essential paperwork, including:
* PWP assessments
* Chronologies
* Court statements
You will need excellent organisational and writing skills, along with the ability to work independently and focus on tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in safeguarding or children in care teams.
* Skills: Strong writing and organisational skills ability to hit the ground running.
* Transport: Must have private transport and be based within a reasonable driving distance of Shropshire.
* Flexibility: Available for remote work/home-based working, with a minimum of one day per week in the office. Family visits as required.
Flexible Working Options:
* Part-time: 3 days per week
* Condensed hours: May be possible following a successful interview

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
