You will be able to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and its team You will be able to successfully manage the day to day running of the nursery and deliver high standards of care and education to all children You will be comfortable being responsible for keeping clear and accurate records and specifically writing clear objective observations You have excellent planning, organisation, IT and presentation skills You are a strong communicator and are able to motivate, manage and work productively with your team You are able to identify training needs and develop training plans for your team You will be comfortable recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and conducting appraisals for your team You are able to work with parents, outside agencies, manage running costs, facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement recommendations Essentials Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification Designated Safeguarding Lead Safer Recruitment Training Paediatric First Aid Food and Hygiene Level 2 Designated Safeguarding Lead Minimum of 2 years recent experience of working in a Nursery/Preschool setting within a senior role Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years Inspection Framework Thorough Knowledge of and appreciation for child safeguarding and welfare Strong understanding of health and safety and practical hygiene issues We can't wait to hear from you soon Safeguarding Policy In order to protect the public, the post you have applied for is exempt from certain provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
