Are you a Transport Planner that’s familiar with planning multiple routes at any one time? Do you have exposure to planning routes for general haulage or pallet networks? If you’re a positive individual that just wants to grow, read on, this could be for you!
We’re looking for a Nights Transport Planner to work Monday to Friday (2000-0600). This is for our shared user network based in Leigh – you’ll be planning specialist loads and palletised deliveries for the following day shift.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus 25% shift allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Produce efficient routes for multiple depots while maintaining excellent levels of customer service.
* Manage scheduling and company costings with the objective of minimising operational costs and optimising efficiency.
* Ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements and ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements.
* Proactively identify and resolve potential routing issues before they occur.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* A background in general haulage or shared user pallet networks is highly beneficial.
* Great communication skills to cooperate with stakeholders throughout the network.
* Previous planning experience is essential for this role.
