About the Role:
This role encompasses the manufacture of biscuits and includes mixing of raw materials, baking, and second process operations including chocolate enrobing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Check programme/oven profile and relevant recipe sheets.
2. Ensure relevant programme is entered into the computerised bulk feed system.
3. Refill hoppers as required and prepare and add pre-mix batches.
4. Check all guards are fitted correctly and ingredient hoppers are assembled and ready for use.
5. Check webs and tracking, rectifying and reporting any faults.
6. Set up, operate and control the rotary moulder and baking oven, making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications.
7. Set up, operate and control the cream mixing equipment and creaming machine, making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications.
8. Set up, operate and control the chocolate enrober and cooler, making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications.
9. Set up and maintain chocolate supply to meet demand within the factory.
10. Regularly monitor product for any sign of deviation from standards/specification.
11. Ensure colour standards and control sheets are checked/recorded and are correct.
12. Keep working area clean and tidy at all times and maintain plant equipment cleanliness.
Key Ingredients for Suitable Candidates:
1. Production experience is preferred.
2. Experience in a bakery, food production, or kitchens.
3. Applicants must be on or over the age of 18.
4. Ability to evidence full right to work within the UK.
5. Numerate, literate (written and oral communication) and the ability to work in a fast-paced team or individual environments.
6. Understand and be comfortable working within a food manufacturing environment where hygiene principles are exceptionally important.
