The main purpose of this role is to support the business with the full employee lifecycle activities.
You'll manage the work queue within the case management system, allocating work out to team members within the People Hub in a timely manner. As well as supporting on the Senior hires & NEDs process, including a range of employee lifecycle activities and ensuring a smooth handover of payroll impacting activities.
You'll provide guidance and coaching to the People Hub team members as well as acting as an escalation point for queries or more complex issues. The role holder will require a good knowledge of HR practices at SJP, providing excellent support to employees and managers.
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for queue management within the case management system, ensuring new work is allocated to the People Hub team in line with the SLAs.
* Managing employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, offboarding, job moves and time off (parental leave, secondments, flexible working requests, etc) for all SJP senior hires, employees, contractors and temporary workers.
* Investigating any complaints and focusing on a resolution which fosters an excellent customer experience, feeding back to the team where improvements can be made.
* Checking payroll impacting activities and ensuring a smooth handover to the payroll team within the appropriate cut off points.
* Escalation point for the People Hub team, when dealing with complex activity.
* Ensuring employee records are kept up to date and accurate, raising with the People Hub Manager where quality issues are identified.
* Maintaining the People Hub SharePoint site, including supporting with the policy review cycle, reviewing self-service articles and ensuring accurate information is available.
* Assist with the development of end-to-end processes, adopting an external lens to ensure it meets customer expectations.
* Support the quality improvement program ensuring process standards and compliance are in place e.g., data privacy, GDPR and RTW compliance.
* Support the testing activities for BAU change, improvements and regular releases.
* Identification and support of required Business World system changes and upgrades to improve performance and provision of testing support, as required.
Who we’re looking for:
* Experience of working in a large people function with centralised services, including a basic understanding of Payroll processes and procedures.
* Expert level understanding of all core processes within the team and able to support and train new team members.
* Knowledge of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.
* Excellent understanding of systems used within the team, including U4, SharePoint, service now.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
* Awareness of GDPR and compliance within the people function.
* Keen to develop a career within People Division through CIPD or ICS Qualifications and self-directed learning.
* Ability to complete complex processes and deal with non-standard queries or queries from employees and line managers.
* Able to come up with suitable conclusions when faced with complex situations where processes may need to be adapted to resolve, and able to identify where escalating is appropriate.
* Professional across all types of communication and able to identify where to tailor responses dependent on the audience.
* Able to convey complex information and confidently deal with senior employees and Directors.
