We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Gartree, a category B Prison located in Leicester.

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns
Monday to Friday- 8am to 4pm
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,466 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
2. Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
3. Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
4. Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
5. Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

13. Occupational Therapist or Social Worker - HCPC / NMC Registered
14. Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
15. Evidence of Continued Professional Development
16. Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment
