A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary Team Leader to join the Spinal Secretarial Team at Royal Stoke Hospital. Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy growing environment. The post holder is required to provide comprehensive secretarial, waiting list management and administrative support to medical and nursing staff within a specialty team. The post holder will assist medical and nursing colleagues in the organisation of the specialty team workload, communicating appointment and admission related information to patients/carers, ensuring compliance with the Patient Access Policy and Divisional requirements in terms of inpatient waiting list management and typing correspondence and/or transcribing and typing up of minutes as appropriate. The post holder will supervise the specialty secretarial team in terms of day to day personal issues e.g. annual leave requirements and also keeping accurate records. The post holder will coordinate the day to day workload of the specialty team within the department, addressing any issues when they arise.
