We are looking to recruit a Support Supervisor to join our Care Home in North Walsham. As the Support Supervisor you will supervise a team of care home support staff to deliver high-quality housekeeping, laundry and catering services, to support the overall goal of helping each resident enjoy the highest possible quality of life, surrounded by love, friendship and support within a Christian environment. In addition, within this role you we require flexibility as you will need step in to cover shifts as required in the kitchen, cleaning or laundry.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Previous good experience of successfully working in a similar domestic support role in a busy environment with a focus on cleaning and/or catering
Previous experience and knowledge of commercial cleaning and relevant health and safety practice in regards to cleaning materials and equipment
Strong understanding of excellent customer care and the willingness and ability to deliver that in the fulfilment of your duties
Previous experience of successfully supervising the work of others, ensuring that tasks are completed to the required quality standards and timeframes
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information effectively to customers and colleagues, and develop effective working relationships
Demonstrable ability to plan, organise and prioritise your tasks to effectively meet your objectives to the expected quality standards and time scales with minimal supervision
Proven good experience of using IT software such as Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Outlook to deliver your duties
The ability and willingness to work within and be empathic with the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission
