The Role As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be providing Systems Engineering Technical Leadership on Aerospace projects initially focusing support to the RAF Coningsby site on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flights. Day-to-day, you will: Lead and manage the project and programmes engineering activities and associated technical team delivering complex integrated outputs Collaborate accordingly with the Project Manager and Resource management to assign relevant technical work tasks to suitably qualified and experienced personnel Ensure effective capture and analysis of customer requirements to generate system requirements Mentor other System Engineers as required and assure the quality of engineering outputs in accordance with authorised technical delivery plans Deliver integrated engineering outputs that meet business objectives Ensure the integrated technical output from the delivery team and compliance with relevant regulations Ensure the production of appropriate technical delivery plans with any supporting artefact and adherence throughout the engineering project lifecycle This role is a full-time position based at our Lincoln site with a Hybrid working arrangement. Essential experience of the Principal Systems Engineer: Extensive experience of military and/or civil air platforms and the air vehicle lifecycle Experience applying system engineering toolsets and paradigms to technical project delivery such as requirements engineering, solution architecting and verification and validation The ability to make sound judgements on integrated engineering solutions and knowledge of the military and civil aerospace industry Excellent people leadership and communications skills Qualifications for the Principal Systems Engineer: Degree level qualifications or equivalent demonstrable experience Please note that all applicants must hold, or be able to achieve for Security Clearance as a minimum.
