SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for organizing materials necessary for the planning and scheduling of the shop floor. In addition, the individual will manage inventory levels, maintain quality of materials as well as support office, factory, and other divisions. Will interface with internal customers as well as cross functional departments to ensure the overall company objectives are performed in accordance with established company policies and procedures. The individual must lead by example and be a team player and work in a cooperative and supportive manner. The candidate will gather and submit information for monthly reporting. This position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Responsible for unloading all required products for Deeside. Performs inspection of all products entering Deeside to ensure it is in conformance with our quality standard. Responsible for communicating all issues with products supplied to purchasing manager. Establishes and maintains a continuous dialogue between manufacturing, customer service, shipping, and the purchasing department to ensure information is transferred in a timely manner. Manages all material required for projects to supply various departments. Responsible for daily stock control for Deeside and report stock replenishment to purchasing manager as and when required. Responsible for picking and loading all product for BMC containers upon request to ensure continually flow of BMC manufacturing. Coordinates the picking of all courier shipments for both Deeside and BMC. Monitors stock levels to ensure inventory levels are maintained to support production demands. Recommends, implements, and evaluates process improvement opportunities with line manager. Responsible for meeting weekly and monthly stock reports and providing route cause and recommendation for improvement as required. Reschedules stock orders as necessary to meet customer demand or, as necessary, reschedules to reflect when a product will be available for distribution. Communicates with purchasing manager of significant scheduling or material problems that can affect production. Assist with month end reporting. Maintains procurement records such as items purchased, delivery, product quality and inventory. Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Analyzes inventory stock lists and makes recommendations for disposal of excess stock or removal of unused items. Responsible for updating and maintaining Bill of Materials for all assigned manufactured items. Travel to local suppliers as required. Maintain a safe work environment and report unsafe conditions as required. Participate and submit new and improved work methods. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience within supply chain and inventory management. Warehouse/procurement asset with 3 -5 years experience. Valid FLT license Valid UK driving License Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Strong decision-making skills Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and in a team environment with all internal customers. Excellent organizational, time management and documentation skills Adaptable and flexible and open to change. Must be able to identify and resolve problems using sound judgement and analytical skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
