Key Responsibilities
* Proven surgical experience is required with pre-assessment experience, as well as flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
* You will manage your own caseload using your clinical judgement to ensure fitness for anaesthetic to support surgery for all types of procedures.
* Carry out a wide range of duties and be able to perform various skills i.e. phlebotomy, ECGs, assessing airways. Have the ability to fully understand each patient's needs and provide individual attention.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential to ensure a safe, effective and compassionate service.
* Ability to work to deadlines and cope with a fast turnover of patients in order to support the commitment to a timely surgical admission.
* You will have skills in the utilisation of I.T. systems.

* The post holder’s duties will always be carried out in compliance with Hospital policies and procedures. * Staff may be required to work in any department to meet the needs of the service, with potentially variable patterns of work that may include weekend working.
* The post-holder must always respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and ensure compliance with associated legislative and Hospital policy.
Requirements
* Valid and active NMC Registration.
* Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency.
* Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
* Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
* Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
