Key Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate service design workshops with stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams.
Apply UCD methodologies to create seamless and inclusive user journeys.
Work within GDS guidelines, ensuring services meet Service Standard assessments .
Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable service improvements.
Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows to define service interactions.
Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, developers, and policy teams .
Ensure services are designed with accessibility, scalability, and sustainability in mind.
Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Service Designer in public sector or government digital projects .
Deep understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and methodologies .
Strong knowledge of GDS standards, assessments, and accessibility guidelines .
Hands-on experience creating service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows .
Ability to work in an agile environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing .
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Figma, or Adobe XD
