The team's core activities feature contracted bus service provision, public transport developments, interchanges and bus stations, concessionary travel, school transport and rail developments. This role provides assistance in the production of bus passes for schools and concessionary passes, maintains the database records and financial records for invoicing and debt recovery. The Public Transport Team is part of the Public and Integrated Transport service of the county council. The team's core activities feature contracted bus service provision, public transport developments, interchanges and bus stations, concessionary travel, school transport and rail developments. The hours are 37hpw Monday to Friday. This role provides assistance in the production of bus passes for schools and concessionary passes, maintains the database records and financial records for invoicing and debt recovery. Under limited supervision the post maintains, updates and extracts information from systems and databases. The provision of accurate general advice and guidance to the public or service users is an important part of the role and an excellent level of communication is needed at all time. The role can call for the use of higher level text processing/spreadsheet/IT skills that involves the use of a range of software packages.
