We are looking for a System Engineer to join the Leidos National Security & Defence team. This is a new opportunity to work with our expanding team. Each day will be different, as you develop solutions to our customers problems. These will cover the full development lifecycle, whilst also responding to different customer queries and issues on multiple products. Your role in Leidos will involve working alongside our customers to solve some of their most complex and unique problems. What you’ll be doing: We seek an experienced and dynamic System Engineer to join our team, specialising in leading multidisciplinary teams to develop tools and techniques for covert operations. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of digital collection methodologies, cyber exploitation tools, and security vulnerabilities, along with experience conducting comprehensive security reviews. This role will involve close collaboration with government agencies, law enforcement, and military sectors and requires a strong background in programme management, system development, and the delivery of technical information systems. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in designing, developing, and deploying tools and techniques for covert operations. • Apply expertise in digital collection methodologies, cyber exploitation, and identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities. • Conduct security reviews and assessments to ensure systems meet operational and security requirements. • Oversee the full lifecycle of technical information systems, from initial development to successful delivery. • Engage with customers to understand their requirements and ensure solutions are tailored to meet their needs. • Liaise with government agencies, law enforcement, and military stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and security protocols. • Manage projects focusing on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. Your skills and experiences: • Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject. • Proven experience leading teams in multidisciplinary settings, particularly in developing tools for covert operations. • Strong digital collection, cyber exploitation, and security vulnerability management knowledge. • Demonstrated experience in system development and delivery, including technical information systems. • Previous experience working with government agencies, law enforcement, and military organisations. • Expertise in programme management, with a focus on technical delivery. • In-depth customer knowledge and the ability to tailor solutions to meet specific operational requirements. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills: • Experience conducting security reviews and risk assessments. • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks and regulations. • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-changing environments. Additional Considerations: Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance.
