Senior Training and Development Officer - 12 month FTC

Reports to Training and Development Manager
The purpose of this role is to assist the Training team in the coordination and scheduling of Group wide training and development initiatives, including course administration, production of support materials, student registrations and producing management reports. The candidate will need to have the ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks.
The candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong commitment to supporting quality and innovative employee learning, creating a supportive environment that provides access to on-going and well-coordinated activities, with the goal of maintaining the highest quality of services for employees.
Key responsibilities:
* Input and maintain Academy calendar of courses and events within the learning management system ensuring course outlines for all courses booked include course objectives and measurement of outcomes
* Book training courses and venues in line with Annual Training Plan and Training Request Forms.
* Prepare ad-hoc, weekly and monthly management reports with regards to attendance and feedback
* Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to advertise course content, inputting to Academy communications plan. Monitor course bookings to ensure course places are maximised. Prepare engagement announcements to keep all stakeholders informed
* Take responsibility for daily administrative tasks such as: room preparation, calendar invitations, equipment and catering as required, greet training provider, monitor attendance and follow up where necessary including requesting feedback from attendees and providers as appropriate
* Act as a point of contact for employees commencing or continuing with professional qualifications, including liaising with service providers to ensure all students are fully supported as they progress within their exams. Prepare Training Contracts for employees embarking on a Professional Qualification. Prepare Liability letters when employees leave the organisation
* Answer a range of queries about the Academy and training and development opportunities from internal and external sources within reasonable timeframes via the Academy Inbox and in person
* Ensure that all costs relating to training are recorded in a timely manner. Ensure that all invoices are received, processed and paid following the company procedure.
* Assist the team in preparing surveys, enhancing the training feedback forms to gather accurate and specific feedback regarding subject area of concern.
* Effectively communicate with the wider People team and other relevant departments to assist in the development and coordination of onboarding/orientation programs
* Take a collaborative and cooperative approach within the team to deliver the objectives of the Academy
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience with Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to coordinate, schedule and administer detailed, time sensitive activities and arrangements for a significant, comprehensive Group-wide training and development programme
* Strong data entry skills, attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong team player with excellent relationship skills and the ability to manage relations at all levels
* High energy, enthusiastic and passionate approach to customer service
* Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential personnel issues and employee situations
* Previous experience within a training environment or/and Fund industry would be considered as an advantage
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
* Must be able to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively to undertake a demanding time schedule
