Impulse Category Lead

As Impulse Category Lead, you’ll develop customer partnerships to profitably grow the category and optimise KP’s physical availability.
Support wider commercial teams, both internally and with customers, to do the same through best-in-class category insights and collateral.

As Category Lead, what will you be doing? Customer Focus
: ·
Direct responsibility for strategic customers (Booker, Bestway, Unitas) and ensure the KP Impulse Category team is the trusted partner with our external ‘customers’ to provide short- and long-term category solutions ·
Develop a robust Impulse AGS engagement plan and recommend improvements for the CSN category by understanding our customer’s strategies and leveraging sales data Team Development

Lead, coach, and inspire the Impulse category team and key stakeholders ·
Support direct reports with development plans, training, and regular one-on-ones ·
Create the annual customer SLA and manage the Impulse element of the Category Development budget Commercial Leadership
: ·
Develop and report on Perfect Store targets, coaching the team on delivery ·
Be the voice of the customer for the Impulse channel in key meetings and processes ·
Lead Account Planning, the MTP evolution, and provide distribution and merchandising insights for NPD Category Insight & Vision
: ·
Tailor the Total Category Vision for the Impulse channel and build tactics for category growth ·
Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop POP and activation ideas and ensure category vision engagement ·
Set plans to unlock opportunities with Independent retailers Team Capability & Support
: ·
Ensure the team has efficient tools and insights to excel in their roles ·
Support the development of space planning insights and represent the Impulse channel at external conferences

Knowledge of Impulse channel (beneficial)
Line Management experience
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Nielsen, Kantar, Circana, Lumina data experience
Strong planning and organisational skills
Great attention for detail
Accomplished at building relationships with all levels of stakeholders externally and internally
Proven at ‘making things happen’ and influencing customers to make a change in store
Ability to juggle multiple customers and projects
