Job Description: Health & Safety Business Partner in Reading with hybrid-working. MBNL is transforming its capabilities to manage assets as an infrastructure manager, prioritizing safety for people, communities, and infrastructure.
This senior role reports to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, partnering with leadership and operational teams to inspire compliance and improvement. The role will embed a culture of performance, build capability, and lead Health and Safety effectively.
* Partner with leadership and operational teams to ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Management Standards and Health & Safety Vision.
* Develop, implement, and embed a functional Health and Safety Plan to deliver the overall Health & Safety Vision.
* Influence, coach, and mentor leadership and operational teams to develop working knowledge and application of Health & Safety management requirements.
* Provide management information and trend analysis of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance data.
* Develop new Standards, processes, guidance, and documentation to drive cultural maturity.
* Identify capability and process gaps, ensure development objectives are set and achieved.
* Provide advisory support on site/point issues.
* Manage Outsourced H&S service.
* Develop supplier assurance and accreditation policies, standards, and processes.
Requirements:
* Relevant health and safety qualification/training (e.g., NEBOSH).
* Good knowledge of site health & safety risks, management controls, and legal standards.
* Strong ability to communicate and act professionally.
* Proven record of bringing best practice into an organization and using it to drive improvements.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to time, quality, and cost.
* Experience working within an organization maintaining ISO 45001 certification.
* Experience in client-side construction or working within an asset infrastructure business.
